Wimbledon Tennis at Harpenden Farmer’s MarketJune 24, 2012
With Wimbledon Tennis about to begin we had to make some Wimbledon themed Cake Pops for this month’s Harpenden Farmer’s Market. Having watched Wimbledon and been a spectator at SW19 since I was about 10 years old I thought back to who my childhood tennis heroes were. Who can forget the day in 1987 when Pat Cash climbed up into the stands to celebrate his Wimbledon single’s title with his family? A Pat Cash Cake Pop had to be made and I always looked up to Steffi Graf in the Women’s game, if only I could play as well as she did! To accompany the Tennis Players of course Tennis Ball Cake Pops and tubs of Strawberries and Cream were made it’s what Wimbledon is famous for!
As well as the Wimbledon Cake Pops and I wanted to experiment with a new Summery Cake Pop flavour. I’m a big fan of coconut so the Coconut and Lime Cake Pop was born. We made Coconut Cocktails decorated with a slice of pineapple, cherries, some mint and a straw. These were so tasty!! We also made simple Coconut and Lime balls dipped into chocolate and sprinkled all over with delicious coconut.
The new Cake Pops were all loved at Harpenden Farmer’s Market, one lucky customer got both Pat Cash and Steffi Graf. I’m sorry Agassi, but we’ll make you next time!
All these Cake Pops are available to order. Whether you would like a Cake Pop display or order a box of these Cake Pops which can be posted to you please contact us.
