Harpenden Jubilee FayreJune 2, 2012
We were really pleased to be asked to hold a stall at Harpenden’s Jubilee Fun Day on The Common and to be part of The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Celebrations. 60 years on the throne, that’s pretty amazing! Of course we had to design a special Cake Pop for this occasion and The Queen Cake Pop was created, along with the Queen’s Guard and Union Jacks!
It was such a fantastic day and, amazingly, it didn’t rain, I think even the sun came out for a while. There was a lot to eat, see and do – a bouncy castle, facepainting, a stage with School Choirs, Drama Groups, Jazz Band and Pipe Band and also an arena with Maypole Dancing, Punch & Judy, Steel Band and lots more! As well as us selling our Cake Pops there were other stalls selling food and refreshments such as The Village Flapjack Company www.villageflapjacks.co.uk who had the most amazing Jubilee Flapjack – Blueberry, Cranberry & White Chocolate. It was sooooo tasty!
Jay’s Delicatessen had a stall selling a range of yummy savoury pies and next to our stall there was a company selling Tartiflette from a Giant Pan. As one of our all time favourite dishes, we had to have a bowl! It was a really great day and we sold out of all our Cake Pops, the Queen Cake Pops were snapped up fast and the Deputy Mayor of Harpenden wasn’t going to leave without one too!
